If you are over 70 and your visa type is 8501, Allianz is definitely your ideal choice. Nevertheless, you should remember that the start date of OVHC offered by Allianz is after 14 days from the date of payment.
For example, if you successfully make payment on 1 May, the start date of your Allianz OVHC is 15 May. In this case, you can not require to revise your OVHC start date. So we always advise our clients to make payment as soon as possible.
In some cases, when elderly people arrive in Australia, the Australian Customs will check their passport and OVHC cover and if your OVHC is not activated, you do not meet the requirement. In a bad scenario, you will have to fly back to your country and wait for the date that your OVHC is activated.
