IMPORTANT NOTES #
- Your policy number matches the one on your insurance card.
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is effective from the date the student is granted or extends a Subclass 500 Student Visa. If the student is transitioning from any other visa to a Subclass 500 and is on a Bridging Visa, Medibank OSHC will still provide coverage. However, if the student does not hold a student visa or a valid Bridging Visa in this context, the insurer will not provide coverage or accept claims under any circumstances.
- Students must hold a valid visa to activate their account. Students under 16 years old can only use the Policy copy.
- If the student holds a dependent visa, they must be covered under the policy of the main visa holder.
- Students should keep their boarding passes (in English) when flying from home country and when departing Australia, in case they need to request an OSHC refund.
- If the student has just applied for a student visa but is currently on a Bridging Visa and has never previously held a student visa, they are not eligible to use OSHC. In such cases, consider using Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC) instead.
- For any expected visa changes or other related matters, please contact Annalink’s partners promptly for assistance.
