How and When to activate OSHC?

To activate insurance, students need to hold a student visa and have arrived in Australia:
– If you have just arrived in Australia: you need to activate OSHC at the time of your arrival in Australia
– If the student is in Australia applying for visa extension or visa conversion: activate OSHC once granted the student visa
Students can activate it on the website or mobile app (Instructions will be sent with the OSHC certificate)

You can manage your OSHC membership quickly and easily online, from wherever you are. Log into your student member portal to:

  • make a claim
  • check your OSHC policy
  • change your level of cover
  • update your details
  • check your waiting periods
  • order a new membership card
