OSHCstudents-OSHC is a mandatory requirement for most student visa holders in Australia, and it provides coverage for essential medical services while the student is in Australia. While OSHC is primarily designed to cover the international student, many OSHC providers offer family policies that allow the primary visa holder (the student) to also include their partner (spouse or de facto partner) and dependent children in the policy.

If you are moving to Australia with family members (such as your spouse or dependent children) and they are here on your Student visa, they will need to be covered by your OSHC plan. OSHC typically covers services such as doctor’s visits, hospital stays, prescription medications, and emergency ambulance services. However, if your partner is moving to Australia to study on their own Student visa, they must hold their own OSHC policy. If your family member, such as your spouse, is arriving in Australia after you, you should be able to convert your single OSHC policy into a couple’s or family policy.
If you are planning to bring your partner or family members with you while you study in Australia, you should contact our Annalink’s agent partners to get detailed information on adding family members to your OSHC policy and to understand the specific requirements and costs associated with doing so.
If you are international students, foreigners arriving to Australia, or Australian citizens traveling abroad looking for OSHC, OVHC, travel insurance, please contact OSHCstudents Team at email: info@oshcstudents.com and our partners for further information and assistance.
