Some advice for international students and visitors concerning themselves on Coronavirus Outbreak

As the uncertainty of the current Coronavirus Pandemic and Australian Government decided to shut down all the borders in order to stop temporarily all non- Citizens and Permanent Residents travelling to Australia, most international students/visitors staying in Australia at this time and their family so worried, so Annalink OSHCstudents team is pleased to advise all our students and visitors that

  1. If students/visitors get 14 day self-isolation and you stay in student dormitory or another arranged place, you should ask your friends or your relatives coming to deliver food or anything you need. You also can do shopping online at: woolworths.com.au or www.coles.com.au, etc. Everyone should stay calm and follow the isolation rules to stay at the room, do not not go out otherwise you will get fine very seriously.
  2. Those students will come to stay at homestay, you have to arrange yourself for 14 day-isolation before moving in your homestay. They will not accept you staying at their house without completing the isolation. If students are under 18 years, make sure you contact your guardian for the assistance.
  3. All students are in Australia, please make sure to contact to your school/university’s Student Welfare office or Student Support Service if any help requested. If you run out of money, they might help you to lend some. You should save your school’s email, phone number in case you need support from them.
  4. Wear a mask to protect yourself and the community. If you need masks and you could not buy in Chemist Warehouse, Pharmacy shop, you can try to buy online via Amazon, it takes 4-5 days to be delivered to your address, the link will be: https://www.amazon.com.au/Pollution-Protective-Breathable-Aseptic-Packaging/dp/B085G9C2BT/ref=sr_1_12?crid=1GJUAGCCS5062&keywords=masks+for+flu&qid=1584611675&sprefix=mask%2Caps%2C346&sr=8-12
  5. Make sure you downloaded the insurance application on your phone, and know your insurance policy. If you do not know it, please contact your agent to get it as soon as possible. If you hold an Allianz Care Australia policy, it is the best way if you are sick at this time as you can access to a qualified doctor via phone or video call (on demand 24/7). You can see a doctor without leaving home. Besides, as Allianz Care Australiahas a BIG direct bill Network you can connect and see a qualified doctor in your local place without paying from pockets.
  6. Make sure to ask your Uni/school if you can study online as you should stay at home as much as you can.
  7. If you need any help, and due to sickness and your English may be limited, TIS National’s immediate phone interpreting service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year by calling 131 450. See immediate phone interpreting for more information. I trust Allianz Care since it is one of the largest insurance companies in Australia, with the medical centres where I only have to pay for what is left from insurance support. (no need to claim later). Besides, those centres are located at the centre of the city, close to schools. Very convenient, right? Credits to Allianz Care for providing reliable medical centres for health check and treatments.

I’ve been living with homestay family for 2 years. I’m now 19, I can move out but I don’t want to leave my host, who has become my family. It feels like I’ve met my second family. Thanks OSHCstudents for sending me to this homestay!

I realised how important insurance was when I started living in Australia. There I switched to using Allianz Care instead of the previous service. Allianz Care is extraordinarily good in its consulting service and customer care. I’ve learned a lot about Australian health care, also I was consulted with mental issues and how to live a healthy lifestyle. I am very happy now.

Thanks to Allianz Care, every time I claimed my medical receipts it processed much more quickly and easily than I expected. I was initially a bit concerned since Allianz Care is more expensive than other insurance companies, but now I can ensure that it is totally worth the money.
